Hattrick made my dream come true - not clickbait
Ever since I was a kid, I’ve been watching football. One of the earliest memories was watching an Inter (Internazionale Milano FC) match vs Real Madrid. It was that moment that I became a fan of the team that had Baggio or Ronaldo “Il Fenomeno”.
It’s worth noting that I’m not Italian nor do I live in Italy, so going to an Inter match wasn’t the easiest thing for me. When you’re young you don’t have the money to do so, and when you’re growing up you have less time if you have your own family. Last year when I saw Inter in the UEFA Champions League matched up with Benfica after beating Porto I said to my work colleagues that I will buy a ticket to Inter - Milan for the semifinals phase. I trusted Inter to advance further and I had a hunch Milan would get through vs Napoli with their European experience backing them up.
So it turned out I was right, we had a “Derby Della Madoninna” on our hands in the UEFA Champions League semifinals, what a treat!! Now I’m not sure if you’re aware of this, but it’s not everyday that the two teams get to that stage of the competition. On top of that it’s up to chance to get matched together, so considering the previous Inter - Milan in this competition was in 2005 this is a once in 20 years or so event.

Germany as Host of EURO2024
There are some similarities between Hattrick and the real world: Germany is hosting the European Championship this year. While "Albärt", the UEFA EURO 2024 mascot, still has to get fans in the right mood for the tournament starting on 14 June 2024, half of the European Championship matches have already been played in the Hattrick version.

Raiders of the Lost Ark, or rather... of the Next Lost World Cup Host!
On December 23rd, 2023, just before Christmas and the final phase of all Continental Cups and Wildcard games (for those who unfortunately didn't manage to qualify directly), the Hattrick team offers the opportunity to the community to vote for the host countries of the 37th edition of World Cup and Nations Cup.
The way to vote in order to choose the host countries (it was possible to vote both on Instagram:
(https://www.instagram.com/hattrickfootballmanager/) and on Global English forum, see

(17571299.1)) was a hot topic on Global (another consequence of global warming?), as you can read here:
(17571273.1). The main goal to achieve was, for our new Community manager
HT-Chase (140015), to increase Hattrick presence on social media, for something that was purely symbolic, as being the host doesn't give any in-game advantage during these competitions played by NT and U21 teams.
But while waiting for Santa to deliver my Christmas gifts, the question that kept me awake day and night was how the continents and the countries in these continents were pre-selected by HTs. Did they use a special artificial intelligence? Did they carry out some kind of secret reunion in HT-Johan's warehouse? Or maybe was it decided after a drinking game during an afterwork in Malmö'?

In this article, we will first briefly remind the results of the polls of the host countries for Nations Cup and World Cup (37th edition). We will then try, using logic, geography, history and statistics, to solve the mystery of the choice of World Cup host countries, to finally guess which will be the next continents and countries that will host for the next national teams' competitions coming in the next seasons! Or not? :)

World Cup Champions: Interview with HPE-regia5
On this occasion I have been able to speak with a true HT legend who is about to celebrate two decades at the helm of various NT/U21. He is a two-time world champion and on more than one occasion he came close to adding more gold to his achievements.
His name is
HPE-regia5 (911825) and his career includes, in addition to his native Italy, a vast list of countries: Cambodia, Norway, India, Slovenia, Qatar, the Netherlands, Sao Tome and Principe, Faroe, Iraq, Chinese Taipei and San Marino.

World Cup Champions: Interview with Junker
Despite being a small country in real life, Denmark has always been one of the strongest communities in our HT universe. Denmark NT is in the Top 10 of the World Cup historical ranking with one gold, one silver and four bronze medals.
Twelve years have passed since that historic final against Sweden in India and the architect of Denmark's greatest Hattrick achievement is still very active in this game. His name is
Junker (1540377), he is the current coach of U21 Comoros and on July 16, 2024 he will celebrate two decades in HT.

Rookie on the NT/U21? Do it anyway!
There are many ways of enjoying the Hattrick-experience. Currently I have found new inspiration and energy by joining the Danish U21 team.
As a rookie in field of national teams, the thought of doing it was humbling, but it has been a great experience, and I am learning something new every week.
Let me tell you what and why!
